What You'll Do in This Position
Provide support and coordination in the preparation, development,
and routing of new or revised technical, operating,
maintenance, laboratory, or administrative procedures within the
framework of the functional areas or division assigned.
Draft and revise administrative, operating, laboratory, and
maintenance procedures, descriptive manuals, data sheets,
sketches and other documents to enable site personnel to safely and
correctly perform activities within their area of
responsibility that affect quality or safety in accordance with
prescribed procedural documents.
Provide support to owners, designees, and other site employees to
resolve routine procedure issues in direct or indirect
support of a specific facility (or facilities), location, or
functional area.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as
required for assigned work area.
Develop, review, approve, and distribute technical work documents
to the appropriate personnel in accordance with the
established review and approval process cycle. Conduct physical
walkdown of the systems or facility locations where
appropriate. Route and track procedures through all stages of the
procedure process cycle. This tracking may involve utilizing
automated database and document tracking and retrieval systems.
Expedite critical path procedures through review
appropriate review and approval process.
Maintain an accurate log of active procedures, prepare various
tracking and trending reports as required.
Conduct regular and periodic reviews of existing procedures
according to established site guidelines, in response to
organizational, technical, or administrative changes, or at
management direction.
Attend meetings to obtain data and to stay knowledgeable of
technical, regulatory, scheduling, and administrative changes
and requirements.
In the Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE) Procedure Group,
some positions are shift positions. These positions are
required to be manned 24/7 and are on a 12-hour rotating shift.
Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and
background review that includes checks of personal references,
credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education
verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain
and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires
U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review
results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes
may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list
of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and
security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case
basis.

Qualifications We Require
High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential
Other Qualifications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Q level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire
Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience in procedure development, procedure management,
operations, maintenance, laboratory, technical writing and editing,
work planning, configuration management, or training preferred.
A basic knowledge and understanding of process fundamentals and
plant systems and a basic knowledge of computer software required
to generate procedures, correspondence, and database changes is
desirable.
Advanced knowledge of administrative documents pertaining to
procedure development and an in- depth knowledge of procedure
writing fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of established safety practices (OSHA, EPA, state
regulations, radiation control, waste acceptance, and quality
control).
Procedures Professional Association (PPA) Procedure Writer
Certification is preferred.
RAD Worker I or RAD Worker II qualification may be required.
