Job Description:
Position Title: Payroll Specialist Reports to: Corporate
Controller About the role: The Payroll Specialist is responsible
for processing and supporting payroll operations across multiple
states and legal entities. This role ensures accurate and timely
payroll execution while maintaining compliance with federal, state,
and local regulations. The Payroll Specialist will also assist in
training staff on payroll procedures and systems, with a strong
focus on using ADP Workforce Now. Key Responsibilities: Process
bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees in a
timely and accurate manner Maintain and update payroll records,
including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and
company policies Calculate wages, overtime, and quarterly and
annual bonuses Manage payroll-related deductions such as benefits,
taxes, and garnishment Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve
discrepancies Work with accounting to post each payroll to the
general ledger Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll,
taxes, and deductions Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to
ensure accurate employee data Qualifications: Degree in accounting
or related field preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent
experience) 2 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in
multi-state and multi-unit payroll processing Strong knowledge of
payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now)
Understanding of wage and hour laws and tax regulations Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications High level of
accuracy and attention to detail • Strong organizational and time
management skills Ability to handle confidential information with
discretion • Spot-On, Teamwork, Google Suite, and Restaurant 365
experience preferred Physical Requirements: Work at a desk and use
a computer 6-8 hours per day. Perform with frequent interruptions
