Wilmington, DE - The Delaware Trust Officer is an expert in the
administration of Investment Management and Trust accounts and
responsible for faithfully executing our fiduciary duties as well
as complying with all laws, regulations policies and procedures.
The Delaware Trust Officer I (Delaware TOI) maintains a trust book
of fiduciary and investment management accounts. Provides fiduciary
support and expertise to meet the needs of clients in support of
the integrated delivery of products and services. Works closely
with relationship managers and portfolio managers and ML FAs in
defining client's requirements including legal and tax aspects, and
in coordinating client contact on an ongoing basis. Trust Officer
I's are expected to address all the trust issues that may arise in
their book of business .The book of business assigned to a Trust
Officer I depends on education and experience. This position will
have a particular focus on new account opening for trust clients
and compliance with all related procedures and processes. Job
Summary - The Delaware Trust Officer is responsible for
understanding the circumstances of their client base and
proactively providing advice and solutions to clients, particularly
in the area of estate planning. Additionally, Trust officers are
responsible for the growth and profitability of their book of
business as well as the overall satisfaction of clients with our
fiduciary services. Trust Officers also work closely with other
teammates to deliver UST's full array of integrated solutions.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the professional administration
of fiduciary accounts including compliance with all regulations,
policies and procedures Responsible for understanding the client’s
situation and circumstances, including knowing the clients extended
family and younger generation. Develops and deliverers solutions to
meet client needs Possesses technical fiduciary knowledge in the
areas of law, tax, fiduciary investing, regulation, compliance as
well as estate planning. Successfully works with centers of
influence and the professional community to develop a network of
external referral partners As the key associate on specific
relationships, works with teammates to deliver our full array of
integrated solutions, as appropriate Promotes the full breadth of
our fiduciary platform (fiduciary, tax, special assets, estate
settlement, both internally and externally to grow our fiduciary
business and actively participates in the sales process.
Collaborates with team members to consistently deliver on UST's
value proposition. Responsible for new account opening in addition
to new and existing trust clients and compliance with all related
to procedures and processes. Key Skills : Excellent ability to work
in team environment Strong communication and influence /
partnership skills Significant knowledge of the legal, tax,
investment and compliance aspects of fiduciary administration. Able
to fully understand and follow the teams of governing documents
Demonstrated accuracy and completeness in all tasks and follows up
as appropriate Comfortable serving in an advisory capacity to
clients and families Values the establishment and nurturing of long
term client relationships Dedicated to delivering excellent
customer service Qualifications: 2- 4 years of successful
experience in trust administration, servicing and managing
fiduciary relationships with high net worth clients (or equivalent)
Technically proficient in fiduciary law, tax investments and
administration Bachelors Degree or equivalent fiduciary experience
required Legal or paralegal education a plus Fiduciary Education
and Training desired Experience with opening new fiduciary accounts
is strongly preferred Minimum Education Requirement: High School
Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent For internal
employees: participation in a work from home posture does not make
you eligible to post. Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
