Job Description BAE Systems is seeking IT Specialist / System Administration to support the Integrated Defense Systems Business Unit of the Intelligence & Security (I&S) Sector in the Fayetteville, NC area. This position reports to the Director of Programs, works with a team of engineers across various engineering fields and supports a diverse portfolio of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) projects. The position requires exceptional ethics, leadership and management skills coordinating with government technical directors and other SOF organizations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment over a multi-year program.This position is located in the greater Fayetteville, NC area. This position is contingent hire for projected contract start date Feb / Mar 2023. The selected candidate develops computer systems specifications and requirements that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for new and/or existing systems.In addition, the IT Specialist will perform duties including but not limited to:Providing operational and maintenance (O&M) support for network systems. Providing O&M support for printer infrastructure.Developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining VDI for thick/thin/zero clients and server virtualization technologies. Providing O&M support for SQL Database infrastructure. Providing O&M support for server and desktop-based software applications. Providing data backup and restoration capabilities for the network.Providing support for storage area network (SAN) and encrypted file storage capabilities.Creating/maintaining a standalone workstation images in accordance with DOD security standards.Providing systems recovery and repair operations employing industry best practices for systems troubleshooting and fault isolation.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in an IT related field and at least 6 years of related experience or High School diploma and at least 10 years of related experienceActive security clearance and ability to maintainDoD8570.01M IAT Level II certification7+ years of experience with Microsoft System Administration in an enterprise environment, including Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and Visual Basic ScriptingAt least 4 years of experience leading tasks of a similar size/scopeAt least 4 years of experience with the following IT disciplines:-- Security configuration of Windows Server/Windows 10-- Microsoft SCCM or similar technologies-- Maintaining PKI Infrastructure-- Implementing and managing VDI Infrastructure-- Server Virtualization TechnologiesPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills At least 3 years of experience with Vormetric data encryption solutionsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $89280 - $151740Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
