Apex Systems is seeking a TS/SCI Network Engineer with UC (voice) and mobile experience for a long term contract role supporting a great mission in the Fayetteville, NC area! For consideration, please send your updated MS Word resume to Donna Badin at **If you don't have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, then this particular will not be a fit for you** Key Skills: Dial Peer, IP to IP Gateway, Call Routing, Route Plans, some VTC is fineDescription: With a wide range of knowledge, evaluate, design document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune and sets standards for all aspects of Networking with concentration on unified communications in on premise and hybrid cloud solutions. Maintain a complex range of unified communications network components and systems. Plans and coordinates unified communications initiatives. Researches, evaluates and recommends new unified communications technologies and hybrid cloud solutions. Design solutions to operational problems within the capacity and open rational limitations of installed equipment and cloud offerings. Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, company management and departmental clients. Works with other Special Operations network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.

• CCNA required CCNP and/or Cloud certifications preferred
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II required
• ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
• Military experience preferred
• Experience with unified communications technologies both on premise and cloud based
• Expert level knowledge of the OSI model, common network protocols, TCP/UDP ports, and common network? troubleshooting tools (tcpdump, wireshark, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot multi-vendor network and hybrid cloud issues in the LAN/WAN and work with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other network configuration issues
• Has full technical knowledge of all phases of network operations.
• Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex networking problems
• Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
• May be required to provide clear written documentation on network procedures and diagrams
• Must be able to effectively interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems
• Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments
• Must closely follow network protocols and methodology
• Reviews the work of others and is able to detect errors or needed modifications Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
