About this roleThe Test Engineer tests and evaluates golf equipment for conformance to the Equipment Rules, as well as Test Service and research purposes. The Test Engineer is responsible for organizing work and performing quality control checks on their work. The Test Engineer leads equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory equipment, including scheduling and contracting as required. Occasional travel may be required for field testing.
What you'll do

  • Conduct testing, reporting, and test quality control for golf balls.
  • Conduct testing, evaluation, reporting, and test quality control for golf club components and other equipment.
  • Lead scheduling and conduct of test device maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
  • Perform diagnosis of and lead or perform repair to test equipment, including electronics, as required.
  • Organize work and maintain laboratory work areas.
    Where you'll beThis role will be based at our new headquarters in Pinehurst, North Carolina, scheduled to open in Dec. 2023. Candidates will be expected to travel to our Liberty Corner, New Jersey campus for training prior to Golf House Pinehurst opening.
    What you bring
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related technical field, or 3 years of laboratory experience.
    • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to follow multi-step written instructions using laboratory equipment.
    • Ability to code.
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel.
    • Ability to perform physical work, including carrying moderately heavy containers.
    • Experience with equipment calibration is preferred.
    • Experience in an ISO9001-controlled environment is a plus.
    • Experience in an ISO17025-controlled environment is a plus.
    • Knowledge or interest in the golf industry is preferred.
