We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Mechanic located at our Southern Pines, NC facility. The hours are from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Responsibilities Include:

• Installs, repairs and troubleshoots electrical systems from low voltage to 480 volt, 3 phase and data cabling circuits on all plant equipment and buildings
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as grinders, drill presses, hammer drills, milling machines, lathes, welders, cutting torches and other related equipment to make necessary repairs
• Performs required preventive maintenance on all plant equipment and buildings and completes required reports
• Repairs and maintains plant equipment and buildings according to equipment specifications, drawings, operation manuals, building codes, fire codes and OSHA codes
• Works in overhead and awkward positions and may use platforms and ladders to make repairs
• Performs plant inspections of fire and emergency equipment monthly and completes required reports
• Performs annual inspections of plant fire system and alarm systems with outside inspectors to meet fire code requirements
• Performs daily safety check on maintenance lift trucks, scissor lift and completes required checklists
• Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required Requirements of the position include: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent; or more than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors, or employees.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Computer skills with experience in data entry, e-mail and the Internet
