innovation.SummaryDiagnoses equipment failures and service and
makes repairs to the Company's fleet and equipment in compliance
with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and DOT
US Dept. of Transportation) safety regulations and
requirements.Principal and Essential Duties &
ResponsibilitiesDiagnoses company's fleet and equipment failure,
makes repairs in compliance with OEM specifications and DOT safety
regulations and requirements. Disposes of failed parts, fluids and
other waste in an environmentally conscious manner. Ensures work
orders are properly completed and work repair task description is
accurate to work completed. Removes, cleans, repairs, re-installs
and adjusts vehicle components proficiently. Routinely performs
preventive maintenance (PM) and tire maintenance. Performs daily
safety inspections and minimal reworks while maintaining production
standards. Technician will be on an on-call rotation.Minimum
EducationHigh School or equivalentExperience Requirements0 -2 years
experience.Requires a minimum of one ASE (Automotive Service
Excellence) Certification. New associates must earn one ASE
certifications within their first six months of employment.Must
have a valid driver's' license.Must have demonstrated experience
monitoring and meeting PM (Preventative Maintenance) schedules and
operating repair shop equipment.Must have excellent communication
skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid
relationships with all levels. Some computer skills.Experience
PreferredA CDL license is strongly preferredEnvironmental Factors
and Physical RequirementsIntermittent sitting, standing, stooping,
crouching, walking, lifting of light and heavy objects.Must
regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift
and/or move more than 100 lbs.Must be able to lay on back on a
mechanic's dolly to work underneath motor vehicle
equipment.Specific vision abilities required include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
and ability to adjust focus. Associate must be free of any
conditions which result in temporary loss of consciousness or
ability to reason.Work is performed with exposure to noise,
chemicals, noxious odors gases, poor ventilation, inclement
weather, dirt, grease, dust and machinery with moving parts
