Job Description Job Description Senior Electrical Automation Technician Food Manufacturing | On-site (Kinston NC) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Salary: $35-$44 per hour Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Education reimbursement Overview Support and improve electrical and automation systems in a food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, system reliability, safety, and continuous improvement while partnering with maintenance, engineering, and IT to keep production running efficiently and in compliance. Key Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, and electrical control systems Support automation reliability, backups, and control networks Identify and implement automation improvements to reduce downtime Ensure GMP, food safety, and electrical safety compliance Maintain electrical and automation documentation Train and support maintenance technicians on controls systems Collaborate with engineering, IT, and vendors on upgrades and projects Qualifications Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience 2 years of industrial electrical or automation experience Strong Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC experience Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot independently Comfortable working weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed Preferred Manufacturing or food production experience Mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic knowledge Team-oriented, safety-focused mindset If you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, please click APPLY NOW and upload your most current resume or you may email your resume to our recruiter, Heather Murphy at Please include "Kinston PLC" on the subject line of any e-mail.
