MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and qualified ASE Certified Mechanic to join our team, providing vital maintenance services and ensuring the safety and operational reliability of our vast fleet of transportation vehicles. This position is essential in maintaining the smooth operation and on-time performance of our services, making a direct impact on daily operations and client contentment. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and periodic inspections on service vehicles, including buses, shuttles, and school buses. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems that may include the engine, transmission, electrical subsystems, brake systems, and HVAC units. Conduct safety inspections and comply with all MV Transportation maintenance policies and regulatory guidelines. Prepare detailed vehicle maintenance reports and maintain accurate records of each service performed. Work closely with the fleet management team to ensure scheduled maintenance complies with operational commitments. Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and apply new knowledge to your daily tasks. In-depth understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle troubleshooting. Ability to interpret and follow the guidelines and schematics for maintenance and repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid ASE Certification required (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence). Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred but not required.
