Propane Energy Solutions. SCOPE A Manufacturing Engineer's scope
encompasses designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing
processes and systems to produce high-quality products efficiently
and cost-effectively, including areas like process improvement,
automation, and quality control. This position reports to the
Manufacturing Engineering Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES : Support
production and provide technical expertise to solve safety,
quality, delivery, and productivity issues for value streams Design
work holding and tooling solutions for new or existing
manufacturing components using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software
Facilitate CAPEX, automation, and process improvement projects Lead
continuous improvement / lean projects such as SMED, standard work
kaizens, and value stream mapping Design, plan, and coordinate
facility layout improvements Drive root cause analysis for complex
issues using formal problem-solving tools such as A3, 8D, Fishbone,
and 5Why Identify new technology to optimize manufacturing
processes Coordinate and implement engineering change orders in
manufacturing including process and equipment modifications Create,
edit, and maintain critical process documentation Develop capacity
planning models to identify issues and implement actions to resolve
Partner with EH&S team to solve identified or observed safety
concerns Other duties as assigned KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: AutoCAD
and 3D modeling (Inventor) Project Management Process Knowledge and
Optimization Methodologies Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
Problem-solving EDUCATION/BACKGROUND: Bachelor's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Equivalent 5
years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a machining environment is highly preferred
Experience with assembly and automation processes is preferred We
