Relocation assistance to the Fayetteville, North Carolina area is available SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: This class is responsible for numerous functions and activities enterprise-wide that are tiedto enhancing business operations by developing and executing solutions to business problems, as well as researching and creating new opportunities inorder to improve efficiency and effectiveness throughout PWC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, following industry trends, benchmarking against other utilities, and working across all divisions and departments to: identify business gaps and corresponding alternatives; create new programs and initiatives, develop and lead companywide working groups to discuss cross functional innovation, and oversee the requirements gathering phase of initiatives and projects. This class will also be responsible for working closely with executive staff, the PMO and IT staff to develop strategies focused on optimizing Oracle applications and end user experiences. This class would be responsible for leading efforts enterprise-wide to ensure that business issues are resolved and strategic goals are achieved; supervising Application Specialists and the services the yprovide through integrated Oracle systems, to include functional support, application configurations, testing, end user training, and work order management; and making recommendations for process improvements, enhancements, and new projects based on a cost benefit analysis or ROI. Operating under general supervision of the Corporate Development Manager, work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, with leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Performs related work as required. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES: Thorough knowledge of and ability to execute best practices for developingeffective IT testing and training tools; knowledge of strategic planning concepts,practices and procedures; functional knowledge of Oracle systems or other complex enterprise-wide applications; ability to oversee services provided throughout the enterprise relating to functional support, application configurations,testing, end user training, and work order management; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to understand and proposeimprovements for business processes and work flows; ability to effectively develop and implement strategic initiatives that use innovation to create opportunity, resolve issues and expand functionalities that benefit employees and customers; ability to collaborate with all levels of employees across multiple departments andprojects to define and document requirements; ability to capture, share, and address issues raised by staff in order to promote continuous improvement strategies; ability to develop and implement initiatives aligned with strategicgoals; ability to coordinate requests from other departments with IT staff to effectively develop both short-term and long-term initiatives aligned with the Commission's strategic goals; ability to stay abreast of trends in the utility sector; ability to effectively gather, understand, and share complex information with alllevels of staff; ability to manage vendor relationships and contracts; ability to manage and direct activities of diverse teams; ability to oversee issueresolution and other functional end user services; ability to ensure allproposed new applications or major modifications to IT systems are properlyreviewed and vetted based on anticipated enterprise-wide benefits, support ofstrategic goals, and alignment to the overall technology roadmap; ability touse quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze data, make decisions,and facilitate continuous quality improvement efforts across all divisions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduationfrom a four (4) year accredited university/college or technical school with adegree/certification in business,accounting, finance, engineering, IT, or related field and a minimum of five(5) years of experience which includes supervisory responsibilities. Experiencein the utility sector and an advanced degree is preferred.
