Apply today!General Summary:The primary responsibilities of this position are to champion and lead the operating departments to deliver core manufacturing KPI's. The Associate Director of Operations owns /leads departmental goals and performance for safety, environmental, quality, production, and organizational development. The Associate Director is expected to promote and direct operational excellence, and all network/ plant initiatives. Maintaining a strong and productive team environment is critical to success. This position directly supervises business unit leaders and production leaders. As a member of the site leadership team, the role plays a key role in developing site strategies, building a culture of performance and managing change.Principal Accountabilities:Develop and lead strategies to ensure company and plant goals are attained for safety, sanitation, quality, service, variable margin management, productivity, employee relations and employee development.Lead cross-functional teams focused on results delivery through continuous improvement and process management programs.Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork. Develop capabilities of frontline leadership through mentoring, training, and coaching.Ensure that behaviors, practices and the work environment support a safe workplace by enforcing safety and sanitary rules and principles.Create, develop, and sustain a "can-do" climate and high levels of frequent communication, cooperation, rewards and recognition, training, and mutual support among departments.Perform in a variety of capacities related to employment decisions throughout the employment life cycle, i.e., hiring, performance evaluation, retention, employee relations issues as appropriate, etc.Work with support teams to develop annual budget, optimize resources, and ensure ongoing execution of department plansJob Complexity:Expertise in manufacturing standards and metrics (e.g., KPIs) for safety, quality, production, labor and material variances, and employee relations and retention.Demonstrated ability in forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management.Experience in applying Lean manufacturing concepts to reduce cost and improve productivity; experience developing and organizing continuous improvement programs; demonstrated track record of driving positive change.Experience managing capital improvement initiatives and expansion plans during ongoing operations.Experience in an USDA regulated environment where quality, compliance, and safety are core values.Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.Someone who is flexible, dynamic, self-demanding and proactive; able to motivate themselves and others; a bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity.Experience building, developing, engaging and overseeing high-performing manufacturing teams, with a track record of questioning behavioral norms and driving cultural change.Demonstrates ability to lead an inclusive work environment.Makes decisions that positively impact the current and future state of the business.Works relentlessly to deliver results, anticipate obstacles, and creates plans to overcome them.Develops meaningful relationships and collaborates across departments.Engages in healthy dialogue and makes decisions with Campbell's best interest in mind.Challenges the status quo and seeks ways to improve and developMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required7+ years of experience with a proven track record of exemplary leadership skills, experience in a team- based environment is a plusA solid understanding of food processing and sanitation preferredDemonstrated results using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesStrong interpersonal and people skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze, process high volumes of information and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner with precise attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy and follow throughWorking Conditions:Manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules and protective equipment approximately 60% of the time. Office environment approximately 40 % of the time.Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$105,000-$172,200Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
