Sampson Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Family Medicine or Internal Med-Peds Physician to join its hospitalist service to work approximately 10-12 shifts a month. We seek a skilled and experienced physician who maintains a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients.

  Responsibilities include:
  
  • 
    
  • Round on Adult and Pediatric patients (great mix for individual who wants inpatient work and ability to care for patients of all ages
    
  • Attend caesarian sections and round in the newborn nursery (NRP certification is required)
    
  • Admit patients from the ER, as well as directly from primary care offices
    
  • Run codes/round in the ICU
    
  • Work independently; on-call specialists available by phone
    
  • Procedures optional
    
  • Comfortable with ventilator
    
  • Meditech EMR
    
  • Nocturnist can expect to have 5 patient encounters per night & 3-4 Emergency Department admissions
