Responsibilities:

Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans
Inspect the patients' teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to identify any areas of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health
Coordinate and perform preventive dental care treatments such as sealants, x-rays, flossing, fillings, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated
Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene
Perform work that is in compliance with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines


Qualifications:

Familiarity with computers
DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor's degree are required
Two years of dentistry experience in clinical or private practice is required
Strong bedside manner and great communication skills are necessary
Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry
--- Experience required (must have at least completed residency)
--- South Carolina Dental License
--- Good chair-side manner
--- Must be comfortable with Bread and Butter dentistry
--- Invisalign experience is a plus!
--- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs
--- Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position)
