Urgent Vets for Pets was opened in early 2022, during the tail end of the COVID epidemic. The idea for Urgent Vets for Pets was to allow an option for pet owners to get their beloved companions seen and treated without having to wait for an appointment from their regular veterinarian. At Urgent Vets for Pets, we offer outpatient treatment or short-term in-hospital therapy and hospitalization to get your pet back on the path to wellness. We are currently searching for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team to help provide support to our Doctors and provide the best care possible to our patients!*Position Skills: ** Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms* Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals* Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members* Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring*Position Requirements:** Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.* Associates degree in Veterinary Technology*Benefits*Our team members enjoy an extensive, comprehensive benefits package.
