Partners with Training and Development on nursing core orientation and nurse residency programs. Partners with nursing leadership to implement retention strategies. Serves as a mentor for the nursing staff. Participates actively with interdisciplinary, collaborative task forces and committees.Education and Formal Training: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.Work Experience: At least 5 years as a Registered Nurse with at least one year in a specialty. Classroom teaching experience andcertification in specialty area desirable.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to function within the organizationalstructure. Ability to work effectively as a team member as well as working and planning independently. Ability to mentor and effect positivechange. Strong knowledge in adult education. Demonstrate credentials as an instructor level status in nursing requirements and other areas asassigned.Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Able to carry and manipulate equipment, work variable hours as needed.Must be flexible in use of time and physical space. Must possess auditory and visual acuity to accurately perform job functions.
