Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least two years of recent MS/Tele experience. Responsibilities - Work in a short-term acute care hospital on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Night shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00 - Patient ratios are 1:5-6 - Every other weekend required - Floating required within scope to like units and potentially within the hospital or sister campus - Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment - Uses Epic EMR, prior Epic experience required - First-time travelers are accepted for this role - Royal blue and white scrubs required - Candidates may float within the hospital or to a sister campus - Holiday coverage expected with only one holiday off permitted per contract - Pre-start modules required, taking 4-10 hours to complete - RTO is subject to manager approval, with a maximum of four days and only one holiday off allowed - Team-based environment typical for large teaching hospitals - Extensions permitted: night shift travelers may extend twice Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission - Minimum two years of MS/Tele RN experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Epic EMR experience required for consideration - Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance - No license or background hits within the past year - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the main campus - Return staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler in the system - System-wide two contract limit, with a six-month break required to return Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628983.
