Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position
requiring Epic EMR proficiency and night shift availability.
Responsibilities - Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a
short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching
hospital - Typical ratios are 1 RN to 5-6 patients - Night shift
schedule: 4x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:00 - Every other weekend is
required - Floating within the hospital and to sister campuses may
be required - Uses Epic for charting - Patient population includes
medical-surgical and telemetry patients - First-time travelers are
accepted - Royal blue and white scrubs are required - Pre-start
online educational modules are mandatory - Return staff must have
at least 1 year since prior assignment to be eligible - Maximum of
two consecutive contracts allowed before a 6-month break is
required - Holiday coverage required; only one holiday off may be
approved - Requested time off is subject to manager's discretion
Requirements - Active NC or Compact RN license required - Minimum 2
years of recent MS/Tele RN experience - Current BLS, ACLS, and
NIHSS certifications required - Experience with Epic EMR required -
Must be able to pass an advanced EKG exam if required - Review of
background and license must show no incidents within the last year
