Labor & Delivery RN Job Details - Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina (28374) – North Carolina healthcare jobs - Unit: Labor & Delivery (19 beds) - Contract Type: Travel Nursing Assignment - Start Date: November 10, 2025 - End Date: February 9, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2070 - $2120 - Patient Ratio: 1:2-3 - Floating: Required to Postpartum/Mother Baby unit - Orientation: 24 hours - First-time travel nurses welcome! - COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required - Flu Vaccine: Unknown - Local Candidates: Must not reside in Moore County Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience - Active Registered Nurse license (pending license accepted) - AWHONN Intermediate certification required - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required - BLS certification required - Epic charting experience required - Competency in vaginal exams and management of second stage labor - Ability to transition newborns in labor and delivery - Strong clinical skills in Labor & Delivery required - Previous charge nurse experience and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred - Must not reside in Moore County Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced clinical setting - Perform vaginal exams, manage second stage labor, and assist with deliveries - Transition and assess newborns immediately post-delivery - Float to postpartum/mother baby unit as needed - Administer medications and monitor IVs, including Pitocin and magnesium sulfate - Support breastfeeding and provide lactation education - Conduct patient teaching and discharge education for parents - Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response/code teams - Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
