Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position
requiring a NC or compact license, EKG exam, and night shift
availability. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
within a short-term acute care Level III trauma teaching hospital -
Night shifts consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 to
07:00) - Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 - Care for adult
patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring - Epic
charting experience is required - Every other weekend coverage is
required - Floating required within hospital and to sister campuses
within scope - Block scheduling requests will be considered - No
on-call responsibilities - Royal blue and white scrubs required -
First-time travelers are welcome to apply - May only extend twice
if working night shift, otherwise one extension is allowed per
system policy - Those returning as a traveler must have at least a
one-year gap since previous employment with the facility -
Assignment includes pre-start online training modules, estimated
4-10 hours - Return staff must be gone for one year before
returning as a traveler - Requests for time off are subject to
manager's discretion - Candidates may be required to float to like
units or between campuses depending on facility needs - Maximum of
4 days RTO allowed, and only one holiday off may be approved
Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required at time of
submission - Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Must pass
a pre-employment EKG exam without exception - Experience with Epic
EMR required - Candidates must not live within 50 miles of the
facility - Background and license checks must show no hits within
the last year - Pending licenses are not accepted Benefits - High
