ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours,
days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is
seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring
Epic experience and NC or compact state licensure. Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a short-term acute care,
Level III Trauma teaching hospital - Patient ratios are typically
1:5-6 - Care for a diverse medical-surgical and telemetry patient
population - Use Epic for electronic charting; Epic experience is
required - Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to
19:00 - Every other weekend shifts required - Floating within scope
to like units or to the sister campus may be required - On-call is
not required - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Block
scheduling requests may be considered - Holiday shifts will be
assigned according to unit needs, and only one holiday may be
approved off - Pre-employment modules are completed before start
and take 4-10 hours - Required scrub colors are royal blue and
white - Time-off requests are limited and must be submitted with
initial application - Team-based environment with the potential for
support from experienced staff Requirements - Active RN license in
North Carolina or a compact state is required at the time of
consideration - Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry
experience - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are
required - Epic EMR experience is required for all RN specialties -
Must pass advanced EKG exam for compliance - Candidates must live
more than 50 miles from the facility - Previous staff must be gone
for at least 1 year to return as a traveler - Maximum of two
contracts allowed within the health system; a 6-month break is
required to return after reaching the limit - No background or
license hits within the past year will be accepted Benefits - High
