Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring Epic experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and passage of an EKG exam. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma, teaching hospital - Patient ratios are typically 1:2-3 in the ICU - Charting is completed using Epic; experience is required - Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00 – 07:00) with every other weekend required - Floating may be required within hospital ICUs and to a sister campus as needed - Must wear royal blue and white scrubs - Level III Trauma Center work environment - First-time travelers are not preferred, but will be considered at manager discretion depending on experience - No on-call required - Modules must be completed pre-start and are non-billable - Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler - Maximum of 2 contracts permitted; after completion, a 6-month break is required before returning - References not required at time of consideration - Up to one holiday off can be approved; total RTO approval at manager discretion Requirements - Active NC or Compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required - Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Must pass an EKG exam as a condition of consideration - Epic experience required for all RN specialties - Candidates must live at least 50 miles from both Central Harnett and Betsy Johnson campuses - Pending licenses not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627916.
