Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position working night shifts with behavioral health patient exposure and Epic charting required. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting - Behavioral health patient population alongside typical Med/Surg Tele cases - Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 - Night shift schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 - Every other weekend required - Required to float within scope to like units and may float to sister campuses - Epic EMR system is used and prior experience is required - Royal blue and white scrubs are required - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible - Travelers on night shift may extend assignment up to two times; those on day shift may extend once - Must submit all time off and scheduling requests at the time of application - Holidays coverage limited to one holiday with RTO subject to manager's approval - Team environment in a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of application - Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required - Behavioral health experience preferred - Must pass an Advanced EKG exam as part of compliance - No previous background or license hits within the past year - Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the hospital - Pre-start modules must be completed prior to assignment Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627097.
