Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Telemetry RN – North Carolina Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 18:45 - 07:15, 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule). Floating required as needed; potential to float every shift. Highlights: 13 to 26 week contract assignments available Progressive care unit specializing in cardiac monitoring with 1:6-7 patient ratios Comprehensive cardiac case mix including pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery patients, arrhythmias, and CHF Advanced critical care skills: cardiac drip titration, sheath removal, remote monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation Epic charting system with 24-hour unit orientation provided First-time travelers accepted; interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, rapid response, and respiratory services Requirements: Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license required at start Minimum 2 years of progressive care and telemetry experience required ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Experience required: pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery, sheath removal, port access, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management Proficiency in cardiac drip titration (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Cardizem) Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and remote monitoring Epic charting experience preferred Flexibility to float to other units as needed based on census and clinical skill set Ability to participate in Storm Team or Hurricane Team emergency response as assigned Why It's a Great Opportunity: This cardiac progressive care role offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where critical thinking and advanced cardiac skills are utilized daily.
