Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years
required, first-time travelers accepted License: NC or Compact
license required at time of start Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: -
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry -
Experience with rapid response teams, dysrhythmia interpretation,
IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube care,
hemodialysis management, and blood product administration
Description: RTO after booking is not allowed. Any call-offs or
additional RTO may result in cancellation and DNR. Target patient
ratios are 1:5-6. This position may require participation in a
Storm Team or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events. There is a
floating requirement among units. Weekend work is required,
totaling 12-16 shifts per contract. The patient diagnoses include
dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy,
GI bleed, anemia, and hip fractures. Unit systems include Pyxis and
Epic for medication, documentation, and communication. Staffing
includes interdisciplinary support from various teams such as IV,
physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Candidates must complete all testing within 48 hours after signing.
Travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60
hours in a week. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on
unit needs without restrictions or special requests. A maximum of 7
days of RTO may be auto-approved, provided it does not fall on a
holiday. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO is
allowed during the first week of the assignment, as that time is
reserved for orientation and training. Pending references at the
time of submission are acceptable but must be provided at the start
of the assignment. Two manager or supervisor references from within
the last 12 months are highly preferred. 5 Benefits of Travel
