Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring EPIC experience and an active NC or compact license. Responsibilities - Work in a short-term acute care hospital's Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00 - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6 - Every other weekend required - Floating within scope to similar units and to sister campus may be required - Uses Epic as the EMR system - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment - Royal blue and white scrubs required - Pre-start online modules required, taking approximately 4-10 hours - Return staff policy requires a 1 year gap before returning as a traveler - Travelers can extend twice on night shift, but must be gone 6 months after two contracts to be eligible again - Holiday time off is limited to one approved holiday during contract - Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 4 days and subject to manager discretion Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission - Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Previous Epic charting experience required - Must pass an advanced EKG exam as part of compliance process - Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility - No license or background hits within the last year accepted - SSN and DOB required for consideration Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-665454.
