Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a NC or compact license and proficiency with Epic EMR. Responsibilities - Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a short-term acute care, Level III trauma and teaching hospital - Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 07:00 - Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 - Every other weekend is required - Floating within scope to like units and between hospital campuses may be necessary - Epic charting experience is required - Primary responsibilities include providing specialized care to critically ill cardiovascular patients - Team includes experienced critical care staff in a supportive teaching environment - Completion of 4-10 hours of pre-start online modules required - Royal blue and white scrubs are required - Can only approve one holiday off per assignment - Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 4 days per assignment unless otherwise approved - Returning travelers must have at least a 1-year break before reapplying, with a 2-contract limit before a 6-month break is required - First-time travelers are typically not preferred but may be considered at the manager's discretion depending on experience Requirements - Active NC or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted - Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Must successfully pass an EKG exam prior to start - Epic EMR experience is required - SSN and date of birth required for consideration - Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-668698.
