Oncology RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Job Opportunity –
Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Oncology – North Carolina Start
Date: March 2, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule:
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 13-26
week assignments available Highlights: Medical-Surgical unit with
Oncology patient population requiring chemotherapy/biotherapy
administration Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with daily
census of 42 beds Epic EMR system with 24-hour orientation provided
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid
response, pharmacy, and lift teams Experience with complex patient
diagnoses including sepsis, AKI, diabetic management, and cancer
care Opportunity to work with ports, central lines, PICC lines,
wound vacs, and blood product administration Requirements: Current
North Carolina or Compact RN license Minimum 2 years of registered
nursing experience in an inpatient setting Current BLS
certification required Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC)
required – must be able to administer chemotherapy Must pass EKG
testing prior to start date Experience with Med/Surg skills
including colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product
administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management,
wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions Flu vaccine
required (medical/religious exemptions only) Flexibility to float
to similar units and alternate care locations as needed Willingness
to participate in storm team/hurricane team assignments and respond
