3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet
Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North
Carolina, 28401! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: NC or
Compact license required at start Certifications: BCLS required
Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked
out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit may possibly
lead to a cancellation. Travelers must be able to work holidays.
There is a possibility of taking care of COVID patients. Travelers
will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. Minimum 2 years of
nursing experience required. Unit will accept first-time travelers.
Locals are accepted with a rate difference. EPIC experience is
required. Candidates must be able to manage insulin and heparin
drips. Preferred certifications include CPI and charge nurse
experience. Target patient ratios are 1:6-7. The shift is 12 hours
nights, from 18:45 to 07:15. 36 or 48 hours per week are accepted.
Charge role is required for night travelers. Assignments of 13-26
weeks are accepted. RTO is a maximum of 7 days. Call may be
required if scheduled for a prescheduled shift. Travelers will be
assigned to every other weekend with the expectation to work
holidays. Travelers will be part of the Unit Inclement Weather
Team. Emergency response staff may be required to report to work
during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Daily
census is approximately 43 with general Med/Surg patients. Special
procedures include insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing
changes, and high flow oxygen. There are no PCU level patients on
this unit. Unit systems used include PYXIS and EPIC for medication
and documentation. Candidate must float to similar units based on
patient needs. Travelers cannot work more than 5 consecutive days
or exceed 60 hours in a week. Modules must be completed prior to
