Job Description Job Description Description: Full-Time (various
hours) Position Summary: Work in coordination with the Patient Care
Unit Director to ensure the work is accomplished safely and
effectively. Functions of the Position (not an exhaustive list): ·
Serves as leadership support for staff, physicians, and other
related providers on PCU-specific clinical issues · Serves as the
leader support for the PCU when the Director is unavailable. ·
Supervising, directing, coaching and mentoring staff with the
direction of the department Director · Responsible for the
scheduling of staff for the department · Participate with the
Director in the interview process and selection of new staff ·
Consult with Educator, preceptors and orientees on a regular basis
to provide support and for new employees and ongoing competency
planning · At Director’s request assist in personnel actions
including, but not limited to, hiring, disciplinary actions,
terminations and other related activities Requirements: Education:
· Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact state
as a Registered Nurse · BLS certification required · BSN preferred
Experience: · 3-5 years’ experience in an acute care setting
preferred · Previous leadership experience preferred
