Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience and a NC or compact license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in an Emergency Department at a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital - Night shifts are 4x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:00 - Patient assignment ratio is 1:5-6 - Every other weekend is required - Floating may occur within scope between like units or to sister campuses - Epic EMR experience is required - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler - Travelers may only extend once if on day shift or twice if on night shift, then must be absent for 6 months to return - Pre-start modules (4-10 hours) must be completed before starting the assignment - Royal blue and white scrubs are required - Can only approve 1 holiday during assignment - RTO (time off) requests are subject to manager discretion, with a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise specified /n /n Requirements/n - Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience required - EPIC charting experience required - SSN and DOB required for consideration - Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-670496.
