Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Wilmington, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,587 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Must be able to manage insulin and heparin drips. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation. Travelers must be able to work holidays. There is a possibility of caring for COVID patients. Travelers will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Charge role experience is required for night travelers. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be necessary. Travelers will be assigned to work every other weekend. The daily census is approximately 43 patients. Primary patient diagnoses include general medical/surgical cases for adults and geriatrics. Special procedures performed on the unit include insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high-flow oxygen. The unit occasionally provides limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support, appropriate for all medical-surgical nurses. Patient care on this unit does not include PCU level patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. Clinical documentation and medication management use EPIC and PYXIS systems. Call is required if put on call for a prescheduled shift. Candidates should be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions. Travelers cannot work more than five consecutive days or exceed 60 hours in a week. Completion of additional training modules is required.
