Job Opportunity – Telemetry/PCU Registered Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: March 16, 2026 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required Highlights: 13 to 26 week travel contracts available with flexible duration options Cardiac specialty unit focusing on telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac cath patients, and cardiac surgery recovery 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 43-bed progressive care unit Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy First-time travelers welcome with 2 years of progressive care experience Requirements: Active North Carolina or Compact RN license required at start Minimum 2 years of Telemetry and PCU/Stepdown experience required ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred Demonstrated competency in dysrhythmia interpretation and remote cardiac monitoring Experience with pre/post cardiac cath care, cardiac surgery recovery, and sheath removal Proficiency in central line management, PICC lines, accessing ports, and blood product administration Experience titrating cardiac drips including Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, and Dopamine Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date Flexibility to float to other units as needed based on census and clinical skill set Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic cardiac care environment where you'll utilize advanced monitoring skills and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellent patient outcomes.
