ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: • Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Rotating weekend schedule required • Float required as needed across all facilities • Maintain 5:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends • Minimum 2 years of experience required • First time travelers accepted • Neuro PCU experience required • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass mandatory EKG exam (2 attempts allowed) • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Skills include CVA care, External CPAP/BiPAP, TR band, Yale Swallowing screen • Experience with central line care, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring • Manage cardiac drips without titration, tracheostomy care, dysrhythmia interpretation • Care for patients with stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological conditions • 24-hour orientation provided • Staff scheduled for 6-week periods via self-assisted scheduling through Optilink • Local radius restriction of 50 miles Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department with a primary focus on caring for medical neurological patients. The facility features a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) that provides monitoring surveillance for patients. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
