Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiation Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 04/12/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available Opportunity: /n Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Monday through Friday with shifts split between start of 7:00 AM and end of 7:00 PM /n• No on-call responsibilities required /n• Outpatient only setting /n• Couple of years' experience working on treatment machines treating patients required /n• Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation using advanced level linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units /n• Record and verify treatment software according to radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions /n• Simulate patients in accordance with prescription requirements /n• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription /n• Follow principles of radiation protection for patient, self and others /n• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff /n• Educate, prepare and reassure patients and their families by answering questions and providing physical assistance /n• Reinforce physicians' advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care /n• Contribute to the training of radiation therapy students /n• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations /n• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and participating in educational offerings /n• Adhere to standard work procedures and service excellence standards /n/n Facility: /n This comprehensive cancer center operates as an outpatient-only facility specializing in advanced radiation therapy treatments.
