Job Description:
Shipping Associate Location: Whitsett, NC 1st Shift: 6:30am-3pm,
Monday through Friday Pay Rate: $18/hr Position Summary The
Shipping Associate plays a critical role in ensuring customer
orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and shipped on time. This
position supports high-volume device shipments, custom-configured
systems, and kitted orders across a variety of customers, including
enterprise, education, and government accounts. The ideal candidate
is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, package,
and ship customer orders according to standard operating procedures
and customer-specific requirements. Verify serial numbers, part
numbers, and quantities prior to shipment to ensure accuracy.
Accurately scan shipments into ERP or warehouse management systems
(such as SSC, SAP, or similar platforms). Coordinate with
supporting teams—including provisioning, etching, and returns—to
support on-time delivery. Generate and apply shipping labels
(FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight carriers) and maintain documentation for
tracking and compliance. Assist with inbound/outbound freight
audits and help resolve shipping discrepancies. Maintain a clean,
safe, and organized work area consistent with 5S and facility
safety standards. Support cycle counts, stock verification, and
general inventory accuracy. Communicate delays, damages,
exceptions, or issues to leadership immediately. Participate in
continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency,
and workflow. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
required; associate degree preferred. 1–3 years of experience in
shipping, warehouse, or logistics; experience in a technology or
manufacturing environment preferred. Experience using carrier
shipping platforms such as FedEx Ship Manager or UPS WorldShip.
Familiarity with ERP or warehouse systems (SAP, SSC, etc.) is a
plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage
multiple priorities. Excellent teamwork, communication, and
time-management skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for
extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a
high-volume, fast-paced environment.
