Job Description:
Position Summary The purpose of this position is to provide safe
and reliable Point to Point (P2P) on-demand and shuttle
transportation services to the campus community. This position
drives or dispatches for the P2P transportation system operating
all sizes of fleet vehicles and the transit dispatching software
system. This position drives and or dispatches at varying day and
nighttime shifts to ensure transportation services are available
for students, staff, and faculty. This position must maintain a
valid State of North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License with a
passenger (P) and air brake (B) endorsement . This position is
required to assist passengers with wheelchair access and mobility
device access to P2P vehicles. P2P services provided by this
position include transportation for ADA , After-Dark, Emergency
Ride Back, Campus Health, and special circumstances as identified
to support the campus operational needs including services to
support campus emergency operations. Additional services include
fixed-route shuttle services serving UNC Campus and Franklin Street
operating 24/7 excluding holidays and break periods. Work Schedule
10PM – 6AM.
