The Chemours Company headquartered in Wilmington, DE has a Senior
Chemical Engineer position available in Fayetteville, NC.
This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the
Fluoroproducts Business function. This position will report to
Manufacturing Technology Manager.
The role of the Fluoromonomers Senior Chemical Engineer is to
provide support, guidance, and oversight to the process systems of
the manufacturing area with a focus on operability and process
improvement practices. The fluoromonomers area produces material
that support the Advanced Performance Mateirals businesses within
Chemours. The role includes implementation of improvement projects
and is part of a team supporting a larger integrated development
program aimed at improving unit and plant operations.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not
limited to, the following:
Provide chemical engineering support to the manufacturing area
Provide Chemical Engineering expertise for project work to
ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering, standards
and quality assurance.
Initiation or review Changes of Designs (COD <$500M) to
improve the safety, quality, environmental impact, or cost of the
production unit, and to support business growth.
Provide engineering support including develop basic data and
design oversight for >$500M Capital projects.
Provide chemical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining and
modifying operating equipment and facilities
Provide technical troubleshooting and training to the operating
and maintenance teams.
Lead the implementation of process quality and yield improvement
Participate in PSM criticality assessment process, process
Hazards Analyses and Incident Investigations
In order to be qualified for this role, you must
possess the following:
BS degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 3-5 years of Chemical Engineering work experience
Basic understanding of the principles of:
Data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation
Basic Unit Operations in chemical processes
Root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure mode and effect
Engineering design standards and their application
Cost/Capital analysis and justification
