Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.   • SNC Tactical Radio Application eXtension (TRAX) Documentation to include:
  • o Requirements Development, Design Development, Interface Documentation, Architecture Development.
  • Ability to read code to update Interface Control Documentation.
  • Participate in Engineering Development Gates: PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.
  • Support corporate wide strategy, plans and documentation for all network & telecommunications systems
  • Evaluate new networking solutions, providing recommendations for design and solution strategies
  • Design & manage network implementation projects in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Provide support to NCS Trax Team Developers, Program Managers, and Field Service Representatives.
  • Track and resolve requests for network related services and support, providing post mortem and root cause analysis.Additional Responsibilities Include:
    • Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Participation in Peer Reviews.
    • Other duties as assigned.Compliance Responsibilities:
      • Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external).
      • Ability to prepare for and participate in internal and external audits. (AS9100, CMMI Level 3)Must-haves:
        • Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
        • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
        • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
        • Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
        • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security ClearancesPreferred:
          • Advanced Experience with requirements management and system modelling tools, such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB
          • Knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
          • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
          • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
          • Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures
          • Thorough understanding of establishing and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)IMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
