Job Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision of the
Coordinator/Manager/ Director, the sterile reprocessing tech
cleans, inspects, assembles and packages all surgical products used
to support physicians and surgical team in the operating room and
other departments as required.
Minimum Training and Education:High school diploma or equivalent
(GED). Valid driver's license with good driving record required at
the time of hire and must be maintained. Familiarity with the
Charleston area required. Excellent interpersonal skills for
communication with hospital personnel. Previous courier or delivery
experience is preferred. Requires the ability to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing as well as demonstrated
ability to perform recordkeeping tasks, shipping/receiving,
physical inventories and quality control checks. Must be computer
literate and have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and
E-Mail systems such as Outlook.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Valid driver's
license with good driving record required at the time of hire and
must be maintained.
