Empower AI: As the Voice Services Lead, you will be a key member of the Empower AI team supporting the United States Army Reserve (USAR) Information Technology Services contract. The USAR plays a critical role in defending our nation, with the mission to provide trained, equipped, and ready Soldiers and cohesive units to meet the global requirements across the full spectrum of operations. The Army Reserve is a key element in the Army multicomponent unit force, training with Active and National Guard units to ensure all three components work as a fully integrated team. The United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) G6 owns and operates Army Reserve Network (ARNet) and Secure Army Reserve Network (SARNet) to provide continuous secure and nonsecure data, voice, and video transport, data center services, hosted applications, file services, collaboration tools, cybersecurity, remote access, continuity of operations, and end user customer service across the Army Reserve enterprise. These services are provided to 65,000 users with network accounts at approximately 700 locations, primarily in the continental United States with a few in Puerto Rico, Europe, Asia, and the Pacific region. Through the Information Technology Services contract, Empower AI will provide reliable secure network capabilities, enhanced operational effectiveness, and reduced capital and operations costs through operational consolidation. Empower AI will work collaboratively with current and future Army Reserve contractors, service providers, and vendor partners to focus on USARs success, and maintain continuous delivery and management of consistent data, voice, video, collaboration and data center services, application hosting, file storage and retrieval, cybersecurity compliance, and disaster recovery/continuity of operations and maintenance to Army Reserve facilities.Highlights of Responsibilities:Responsible for Voice Services consisting of Voice over IP (VoIP), collaboration services, legacy phone lines, and legacy phone line billing tasks.Operates and maintains the USAR voice services environment consisting of the enterprise Voice over IP system and circuits.Operates and maintains redundant enterprise session controllers, voice firewalls, telephones, calling features, voice mail boxes, auto attendant, DSN connectivity, e911 service, long distance, integrated messaging systems.Manages moves, adds, changes, delete actions for 7,000 phone lines associated with emergency services (e.g. 911), elevators, arms vaults, fire alarms, intrusion detection systems, and other life safety requirements.Monitors voice services 24x7x365 in NOC.Provides telephone services billing review, audit, disputes, payment, and related functions.Under general direction, installs, configures, and supports an organizations UC/VoIP network.Maintains network hardware and software.Monitors network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.Provides leadership/mentorship to junior & mid-level network engineers. Performs a full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies within a single network.Evaluates new network technologies and makes recommendations to project managers regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network.Plans new configurations for integration into the network, using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being added to the network and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance.Ensures that adequate and appropriate planning is provided for hardware and communications facilities to develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of voice communications systems.Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and orders. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Minimum Requirements:Secret clearance or higherBachelor's degree10 15 years of experience7 years of experience in voice communicationsInformation Assurance Certification: DoDI 8570 IAT II certificationComputing environment certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice (CCNP Voice) certified and/or other recent and relevant technical certificationsExperience working in the defense industryPreferred Qualifications:ITIL Intermediate certification or higherExperience supporting Army or Army Reserve Information Technology programsPhysical Requirements:Sitting for long periodsStanding for long periodsAmbulate throughout an officeAmbulate between several buildingsStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
