POSITION SUMMARY:The Supply Technician (unit supply level) is responsible for conducting logistical operations by Maintaining and operating supply accountability and asset visibility procedures and in the resolution of issues encountered in the process. The Supply Technician should be certified and fully proficient with the Global Combat Supply System-Army (GCSS-Army). Individual must also have a secret clearance or able to obtain. The Supply Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day activities by using organizational resources to determine best practices for program execution, and make decisions in accordance with the contracted work statement. The Supply Technician is responsible for maintaining high leadership standards and technical expertise to deliver the best customer service.Job Responsibilities:.Works within the established supply regulation, policies, and procedures in the resolution of issues encountered in the processConducts maintenance of historical files, Administrative Adjustment Reports, receipt, issue, and transfer documentsPerforms duties involving request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability and the preservation of individual, organizational installation, facilities and expendable/durable property and equipment. Operating and maintaining the Global Combat Support System (GCSS-Army) an automated supply system for accounting of organizational and installation property and equipment.Executes property transfer, receipt, storage, and issue activities (including but not limited to posting and editing documentation within all appropriate STAMISReview all authorized documents periodicallyRequisitions material to meet mission requirementsConducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulationsIdentifies equipment status to include completeness, serviceability, and accountabilityMaintains the automated supply system for accounting of organizational property and equipment. inspect completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and procedures.Coordinates property and equipment activities.Reviews and annotates changes to the unit material condition status report.Validate/post transactions to organizational and installation property records and updates/maintains supporting document files.Determines required method of relief from responsibility for lost, damaged and destroyed property/equipment itemsMaintains property and equipment under GCSS-Army.Reviews daily and monthly records of all property and equipment transactions including petroleum products, unit/organizational basic/combat loads and operating supplies.Reconciles all local purchase transactions for fiscal/property accounting.Ensures weapons/sensitive item inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedure.Provides technical assistance to unit/organizational equipment and records parts specialist (92A).Assist and advise supply officer and company commanderAnalyzes statistical data and reports to ascertain trends, conformance to standards and directives and efficiency of operations.Oversees and maintain logistical data provided by the GCSS-Army automated system.Coordinates logistical activities with other staff elements supply and service.Maintains all historical files, supporting documents and other required records; ensuring all files are stored IAW the Army Records Information System (ARIMS) Administrative Adjustment Reports, receipt, issue, and transfer documents.Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirementsMATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:Computers, Fax machine, Copier, Printer and Phones. Personal computer systems, Microsoft Office Programs, any other pertinent software and general office equipment. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Use of Government Furnished vehicle. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold weather conditions. Rarely will an employee be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:Work may require to lift up to 50 pounds, stooping, climbing and prolonged standing and/or sitting. Physical requirements include lifting, climbing stairs and extended sitting or standing.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certifications:Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree or higher is preferredGlobal Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A) certified at the unit supply levelLogistics information Warehouse (LIW)Logistics Information System (LIS)Logistics Integrated Database (LIDB)Integrated Logistics Analysis Program (ILAP)Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS/FEDLOG)Experience:Three years experience on supply operations at the property book levelMust have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, procedures andinstructions from the Team Chief/Supervisor.Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, relatedregulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.Ability to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and interact at all levels.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work in a team-based, highly collaborativeenvironment.Capacity to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.Valid driver's license.Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, perform with a high degree of accuracy and multi-task in a fast paced environment.Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Project and SharePoint preferred.We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that values and supports the contributions of each individual.
