DescriptionElectrical TechnicianWe are looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Dixie-- Darlington Maintenance group! This individual will support our Plates department as well as our Distribution Center. This role creates value by ensuring reliability of our equipment to help meet and exceed the facility's goals for quality and production.Our facility uses state of the art technology to manufacture Dixie-- plates in a progressive production environment. Dixie-- is a brand of choice and is widely used in homes and businesses across the country. For more information on who we are and what we do, visit our website at www.dixie.com.This position requires working 12 hour rotating shifts, pay $31/hr. with a $2/hr. shift differentialWhat You Will Do In Your RoleActively engage in and drive our company's safety and corporate cultureIdentify hazards and honor controls to reach the appropriate risk toleranceProactively identify, gain approval for and lead implementation of safety improvement opportunitiesApply electrical and electronics expertise to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment controlsInspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical and/or controls problems on all manufacturing equipment in accordance with plant policies and proceduresShare knowledge capability with peers and customers to maximize value creation opportunityThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:Work a 12 hour rotating shift, holidays, weekends, overtime and on call hours as neededWork at heights and in confined spaces2 years electrical technical degree OR 5 or more years of experience as an Industrial ElectricianExperience planning procuring and documenting activities for the enhancement of electrical and instrumentation maintenance within the facilityExperience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 voltsExperience reviewing, developing, and/or modifying work orders for all plant equipment and entering work orders into the facility maintenance systemExperience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, AC and DC motor controller and drivesWhat Will Put You AheadAssociate or Technical degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, Electronic Technology AND at least 2 years of electrical/electronic and/or instrument & control troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Control Logix/RS LogixExperience with Allen Bradley PanelView and FactoryTalkExperience with servo systemsAbility to read and understand electrical schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronics issuesOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
