SummaryAs a Construction Field Representative, you will oversee and observe the construction phase of a project and documents the contractor's adherence to the construction contract. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsible for properly documenting daily construction activities during each site visit and making sure that each observation report is accurate, complete and properly filed for each project.Communicate with Construction Administrator (CA), contractors and clients to keep each advised of the progress of construction.Coordinate work schedule with CA and accurately tracks time on each project.Observe significant, multiple and simultaneous construction projects.Maintain thorough knowledge of construction contract documents, including front end documents, general conditions including modified and supplemental versions, and technical specifications.Become thoroughly familiar with the technical plans and specifications for each construction project assigned and understands deviations from construction documents.Address inquiries and complaints from residents or other parties affected by construction activities.Assists in quality control procedures including documentation, correspondence and proper project close-out pursuant to established procedures.Assists in post construction services pursuant to established procedures and construction contractdocuments.Serves on Committees and Teams as requested by management.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsAssociate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 2+ years of related experience. Proficiency in commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)Must be able to accurately read and comprehend construction plans; keep accurate and complete records documenting daily construction activities; have strong time management and organizational skills; be able to observe significant, multiple, and simultaneous construction projects; have strong mathematical aptitude and be able to verify and check contract quantities / costs as related to contractor pay applications; be able to scale and measure distances accurately.Knowledge of construction contract documents, including front end documents, general conditions and technical specifications highly preferredMust be able to effectively communicate with all parties associated with construction activities.Valid driver's license.McGill Associates is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
