Location: Reidsville, NC

Schedule: Monday - Friday - Full-time

Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 hour, based on experience

Travel: Less than 10%

Position Summary

Clean Harbors is looking for a hands-on Facility Technician I to join our team. In this role, you'll perform critical environmental operations such as drum and tank farm management, forklift operations, and waste movement-all while ensuring compliance with DOT, health, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

Perform daily facility operations including:

Drum movement, opening, dumping

Loading/unloading trucks per DOT segregation rules

Tank farm and filter press operations

Proper storage and inventory management

Operate a forklift safely (daily safety checks required)

Complete and submit waste tracking paperwork

Follow and comply with all health and safety SOPs

Maintain permit-required area compliance standards

Meet or exceed production and safety goals

Maintain a clean, organized work area

Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

Required: High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Forklift training certification

Required: 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain)

Experience: 0-3 years in an industrial, environmental, or warehouse setting

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work in a team environment

Capable of using scanning applications for dumping and pumping

Able to review and follow SOPs and pass related quizzes

Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for 4+ hours per shift

Frequent bending, climbing, squatting, reaching, and lifting

Must be able to lift 50 lbs from ground level to waist height

Must be able to climb ladders and get on/off forklifts

Push/pull and reach in multiple directions under force

Able to perform physical fitness checks (pushups, deep squats, sit-ups)

Requires corrected or uncorrected 20/20 vision (depth perception is critical)

Qualifications

Environmental Conditions

Work takes place in an industrial setting (indoor/outdoor)

May require tolerance for loud environments (PPE provided)

Occasional operation of vehicles with automatic transmission

Vision & Hearing Requirements

Near and far visual acuity, peripheral vision, and color recognition

Ability to hear machinery, alarms, and verbal communication

Ability to communicate via phone; web conferencing not required
