Description: The Business Systems Analyst has the primary responsibility for analyzing business performance, understanding and making recommendations on reducing variance, leading ERP system builds and maintenance, and providing team with other IT and systems support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS --- Must fully understand all aspects of the computerized accounting system deployed, and utilize the system to its full capabilities --- Can generate analytical reports without much direction --- Special projects and ad hoc analysis to assess financial and operational performance --- Understand and document business processes in reference to the system --- Facilitate discussion and decision making on new business processes and ERP system best practices --- Perform system gap analysis --- Develops and maintains budget reports and variance analysis --- Provides support for leadership and assists with special reports that require data compilation; analyzes and interprets information in oral and written presentations --- Reviews lot specific budgets for release --- Maintain all applicable databases used in developing cost and quantity estimates --- Serve as system expert to train team members on system and processes and troubleshoot problems as needed --- Understands plans, elevations, and options; makes recommendations and follows through --- Reviews and identifies actual to budget variances on houses under production --- Understands plan specific and neighborhood specific specifications; makes recommendations and follows through --- Understands scopes of work makes recommendations and follows through --- Administer and manage weekly reporting and data base information. --- Demonstrate your superior problem-solving skills by addressing any system problems as they arise, identifying the cause, and eliminating the chance of reoccurrence --- Understands bid sheets; makes recommendations and follows through --- Performs estimates and margin evaluation of options; recommend based on margins and use --- Completes comparisons of budgets & actuals; gives recommendations and follows through on recommendations to completion . WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, electronic stamp machines, and online systems. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job --- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus --- Frequently required to sit; occasionally required to stand and walk --- Occasionally required to reach wit hands and arms --- Frequently required to talk or hear --- Occasionally required to bend, twist, or climb --- Moderate concentration/intensity, which includes prolonged mental effort with limited opportunity for breaks --- Average memory, taking into consideration the amount and type of information --- Moderate level of complexity for decision making. Average time pressure of decision making --- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. TRAVEL No travel is expected for this position. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED Bachelors Degree, preferably in finance, accounting or systems/computer science Homebuilding experience preferred Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Two years of previous experience with ERP systems preferred Mark Systems ERP experience preferred ODBC or Crystal Report Writing experience preferred PM17 PI109568844
